Place an Order for a Patient

Placing an order is how you assign your pre-paid test service to your physical test kit. Please follow the steps below to complete this process.

  1. Click “Place Order” on the left hand menu, under healthcare:
  2. If the patient is already created in your portal, search for them in the patient search field, or click "Add New Patient":
  3. If adding a new patient, make sure you toggle the "Invite patient to their personal dashboard" (if you want your patient to have access) and click "Submit":
  4. Verify the patient information you entered, and click "Create Requisition" to create the order:
  5. Receive the patient’s verbal consent for Telehealth services and click "Submit":
  6. Complete the Intake questionnaire, and click "Submit":
  7. Find the kit key located on the collection kit and on the DBS card, and enter it into the "Kit Key" field. If you have collected the sample right then, click the Now button to prefill the date and time.
    NOTE: If you have correctly entered your kit key, you should see tracking data for the return mailer populate in the "Shipment to lab details".
  8. Place the sample in the return mailer and mail as soon as possible. You can track the status of your sample via the tracking number in 1Health at any time.
  9. The lab will update the order in 1Health when they have received the sample, and you will receive a notification via email, once results have been posted.
